“The Cannes Lions game” is a project initiated Syntens & 7scenes. Syntens is an independent advisory organisation for SME (small and medium sized enterprises) and specialises in innovation in all company aspects and is part of a large network of professionals. 7scenes is start-up by Amsterdam based medialab Waag Society that offers a mobile and online platform for GPS games and tours.

The idea

During the Cannes Lions festival '09 a multi-disciplinairy team of Dutch creatives will develop a mobile event combining advertising, culture, design and gaming. Using GPS platform 7scenes, the team will let a new form of advertising come to life where people interact with locations in the city of Cannes using their mobile phone. The concept will be showcased directly the day after its creation and experienced by a a select crowd. What will advertising be when you're mobile, always online and your surroundings respond to you?
